In the American Colonial Period, a painted FLOOR CLOTH.  Many homes of this period in our History utilized painted and stenciled canvas floor cloths to decorate their floors with because they were light weight and portable!
 Todays Americana Collectors enjoy my authentic cloths as a collectors item.

My husband calls this "The Cathouse Rug".There is a cat on each corner and two houses, stenciled design.

"Kentucky Mountain", a Colonial Pattern called SUMMER WINTER.  This rug would be turned over (totally reversible) each season--hence the name.
The ingredients of this fine one-of-a-kind are black and white warp threads, with cotton rag strips that display subtle shades of pink and pale green.  All braided generous fringe on both ends also.  Size"  28" X 54"    Price:  $150.

"The Green Summer/Winter"  Materials: 100% Cotton warp in black & white with Aunt Lydia's Rug Yarn weft in green.  Braided fringe for strength.

"THE RECYCLED PANTYHOSE RUG"           This may cause some "snickers", but I assure you, the preparation of cutting off legs for strips, and of course sanitizing them all, makes this wonderfully colorful and "spongy" feeling on the foot, a very delightful throw rug.  My husband suggested this would be a perfect "FLOOR MAT" for the one who works out on their floor.  All braided fringe too.
